Audition for a role in a dystopian series. Deliver a speech explaining the problems in this society.
• Au niveau culturel, on s’attendra à ce que vous vous s’inspiriez de sociétés telles que celles décrites dans la séquence avec 1984, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Circle ou Black Mirror et éventuellement celle qui abordela rébellion (V for Vendetta).

My robot
My name is Octavia, I live in Newport, a beautiful city until today... Before, my life was always perfect. The city was headed by a superb mayor. She always wore a nice outfit. Every one shared their opinion. The girls dated with whoever they wanted, they all dressed differently and were all pretty. I loved my life, I was free and not married. I worked in a publishing house because I love to write and in addition I was well paid. In short, a dream life...
But today my life has changed. This morning at 8 a.m. Someone knocked on my door. It was a robot ! A great scientist created robot for each women in the city to « monitor » us. This man, Eric, is also misogynistic in my opinion. He took the power. My robot like other haven't a name, it's like an object with no real value and emotions. This morning he explained to me everything that would change for women. In first I must obey him. I am not allowed to work and earn money. I am sad because I can no longer exercice my passion. A man will choose me and I will be dependent to him. I am not allowed to have a bank account. The government has taken away my freedoms and my independence.
Then the robot will also control my physical appearance and my social network. He chooses my clothes and my makeup for please to the society. Women all look the same. My robot will rate me on my lifestyle to dertermine my social class and my friends.
To sum up, I am no longer free and I live only for society. The world has chanded. I hate this robot and news technologies. I no longer have control on my life. It is terrible and that is just the start. The robot is coming back, I have to stop this video before he surprises me and gives me a sanction...

The virus killed principally the older people and people with cardiovascular, respiratory and overweight problems. There died many thousands of deaths in the world.
As I said before, not all governments were managing the pandemic in the same way, the Germans were relatively immune thanks to the detection campaign, and by means of the hospitals, which were much better than ours.
When the time arrived for deconfinement because the country was suffering enormously economically. Indeed, it had organized partial unemployment, which permitted the great majority of French people to return to their jobs after this economic crisis and to continue to live practically normally. This wasn't the same situation for the Americans. During our deconfinement, the young people left on the way to school followed by the parents who could not telework and then the college students, everything passed well the 1 month. A few new people were recorded but for the government it was a success. But when high schools and universities reopened, the death toll accelerated. This was the second wave, the one everyone feared. Aquitaine, which had been spared until then (less than twenty deaths), was the first region where the most deaths were recorded, as was the Ile de France region a few months earlier. It was panic and everyone rushed to the shops. A new confinement place take place but this time things did not go as planned. After 4 months of confinement a war broke out between the United States of America and China. Until then, it had taken advantage of the situation. Its economic situation had only improved. But in the USA the crisis had never disappeared. They had gone up to 10,000 deaths a day and now they were around 1,500 a day. The United States had found proof when China was in fact masking the impact of the virus on its population. It wasn't 4000 deaths but 60000 deaths that had occurred. Moreover, it was the person who had created the virus but it had not escaped from their laboratory, in fact they had conducted experiments on animals and during a fire that occurred in October 2019 some of the animals had escaped and the contamination of the world had started.
So here it is, after this discovery, the Americans had assassinated Xi Jinping and his loyalists. There was a revolt, murder... Korea, India supported them, there was sabotage and many people lost their lives. But one day their new leader surrendered. The Americans took control of the biggest cities in China and Pakistan and kept all the industrial and natural products for themselves, so they needed them. They installed a new dictatorship. And here we are. France has been self-sufficient for ten years now. The first years were very complicated, we lacked everything. With the European Trade Union was taking place but it is becoming too difficult for our governments to manage. Thefts, murders were on the rise. Some countries closed their borders with us. In 2022 the virus had almost disappeared from Europe or at least the newspapers didn't talk it.
Currently I live with my family, in a secure neighbourhood, everyone gets along well.We have our own fruit trees, greenhouses ... During the Crisis in 2020 many said that the world was going to change and they could not imagine how much. Young people go to school. It hasn't changed too much but the programs are not the same. They are based on history, maths and there are also many languages: English, Arabic ... Then around 16 years old they have the choice they decide to specialise in a profession and they will be taken in the school of your choice or they stop their studies to work. In classes 4 and 3 they have learned the basics of computers and negotiation methods which allows them to be able to manage on their own if necessary. They stop less and less, in fact now that the economy, the quality of life is better, they require less and less workers. In a few weeks we will elect our first president of the 6th republic. It's been 7 years now since there has been a president, we just have a leader, a leader who created the 6th republic: it's our new General de Gaulle. He has helped get the country on the right direction and now he is leaving his place. The rules are not the same in different regions, for example in the country of Nice, there is the death sentence, whereas here we have stayed more bourgeois, there are more laws. Everyone has his role, and we have a tribunal, every citizens can gives his opinion and at the end it's our Mayor and two magistrates who take the decision.But there's not a lot of crime around here.
Once a month a team goes to central France to look for equipments. There are government factories there. Medicines, objects of all types. Money's always valuable, but until three or four years ago it was barter that took priority. We also go to Spain, but that's rarer. There is a lot of smugglers and dealers, but a new national law was passed to release him to the army and imprison him.
Contrary to what one might think we simply live but we are missing nothing. I knew the old world and at the start it was difficult but now I'm accustomed to it. For a while we were without internet, and without petrol. Gasoline wasn't a problem for a long time because we moved less and we made an accord with Russia in exchange for food. For the internet it took longer. Once the country was stabilized, a group of engineers were able to reconnect all the regions of France. And communication became easier but with the rest of the world it continued to be difficult, especially with Africa, Asian countries and South America. However, our country has kept contacts in the Moyen orien. There life has not changed and they have become the first world leader, from time to time their ambassador and his teams come to the capital. What is good now is that the government is completely transparent and every week a world and national newspaper is distributed. And on the internet we have access to everything we do. There are also private companies that take care of communication, supplies, but they are very few and relatively expensive. We have taken a giant step back but slowly we are moving up. And the disparities between regions and people are diminishing thanks to the efforts of all of us.

I woke up like every morning, it was 9 am, like every day I went down to the kitchen to make my breakfast, then I went back up to get dressed, to brush my teeth, and to go to high school. I get into my car, Pierre my father was already gone to work, I had to drive 4 minutes to get to high school, I would have preferred to go on foot but it was not possible, it was forbidden. The women of my age had to arrive at the school by car at 9:36 am and the men had to arrive on foot or by bicycle at 9:40 am, don't ask me why, I didn't know it myself. There was this boy who looked at me every morning when I arrived, he was 17 years old I was 18, he could arrive at the time he wanted, by the moment of transport he wanted, he looked at me with envy as if he was going to devour me at any moment, it was quite destabilizing. I get out of my car at 9:37 am, because even if I want to get out at 9:36 am there is some kind of force that prevents me, then I go to my science class, of course the boy is still there looked at me as if he was controlling me or watching me. It's 2500 when I tell you my story. My name is lola and in my life everything is going well, I have a boyfriend, toby. I make my passion a profession: I work in politics and I have a good financial situation, The government wants to know everything about the lives of citizens and want to control everything. My life goes like any other person having fun with my friends, I go out and we live in a world where technology has taken over humans. Everything is robotic and controlled by robots, the leaders of our country are robots that manage to make our lives wonderful. Every day is wonderful. A robot language was created by them to communicate. It is on October 28, 2500 that I meet a robot, Bolly, who seems very nice to me. After a few days of discussion over a drink I decide the guest to eat at home. When he leaves I realize that he stole government papers from me. And that's when I realize that bolly is a spy, right now the government has problems: a civilization that wants us to harm has come into contact with us to anehent... the habitants are not aware of this story so as not to scare them. Dear Diary,
I know that my words could lead to severe punishment, could end up with me in jail or even killed but I have to tell this for the future generations because I want that they do not make the same mistakes and are aware of what happened before their birth. Technological innovations and robots that were loyal to us rebelled against us. These have developed intelligence and free will and now have a common goal: destroy Human. I write this diary after these events. Robots have eradicated 80% of the population and we are now safe in a bunker. Important people in government have gotten out of it and are directing operations. They are now having fun in a war against robots, using children and young adults as pawns. New-borns are taken from their mothers at birth and are genetically modified for the sole purpose of gaining enough power to fight robots outside. Their muscles are excessively enlarged, their intelligence is improved and most serious: robotic parts are implanted in them, these therefore become "Cyborgs". The government could end this war directly by using missiles or other means, but they prefer to play with the lives of innocent children for their own pleasure. These children are conditioned from birth and are not allowed to smile, have fun or cry, they grow up in an environment where the watchword is indifference, obedience, and concentration. These children are over trained and doomed to die at the front, they are no longer even human since devoid of feelings, it is a war of "robots" against robots. The government, facing the critic, replies that it is in confrontation that technology will continue to advance the most.
