TIPS

 

• I translate words and sentences from my own language before I express myself. EXTREMELY BAD

I keep a vocabulary notebook and I revise new vocabulary regularly. VERY GOOD OF COURSE

• I record vocabulary with just a translation in my own language. WHY NOT?

I record new vocabulary in short sentences and/or examples. EXCELLENT

• I only use a monolingual dictionary. NOT VERY GOOD

I only use a bilingual dictionary. EXCELLENT

• I use a reference book to study grammar. WHY NOT?

• I read English magazines/newspapers or news online. REALLY GOOD

I watch movies in English in VOST / in VO with English subtitles. PERFECT!

• I regularly listen to spoken English. PERFECT

• I translate every single word that I don’t know when I read. BAD

I speak English as often as I can, no matter what. PERFECT!

• I guess the meaning of words I don’t know when I read. PERFECT!

• I only speak when I’m sure I don’t make a mistake. DISASTROUS

• I revise each lesson before the next. PERFECT!

• I set myself learning objectives. WHY NOT?

I learn English songs. PERFECT!

• I try to find the areas in which I am weak and I practice them more. WHY NOT?
